Understanding ‘Assistant’ in Google Photos, and what it can do for you

The new Google Photos service, which is available on the web, iOS and Android, is one of the best things since the arrival of phone cameras.

With today’s awesome smartphone cameras it is difficult to stop snapping. The problem it causes is two-fold: how to store them and how to query/organise them.

With Google Photos you have unlimited storage space for photos of up to 16MP and videos of up to 1080p resolution. Nothing more to say there… no worries, just store them and have them available everywhere.

As for organisation, it uses date, place and people. And if that is not enough, you can have your ad-hoc searches, like wedding, dog, flower, and the like. It is really smart… you should try it.

But that is not all, it includes a nice feature called Assistant, and the guys at Android Central have done a nice write-up of the features. If you are interested in Google Photos, make sure to check out their article.
